The finished room

This isn't the best shot, but it's what I've got. We've got the nursery painted and the border up. The crib is in the corner and the guest bed is pulled out for our company, but you get the general idea of the room. It looks really good and the girls love it. We wouldn't let them in the room while we were working, but once it was clean they were able to see it. We weren't sure what Sydney would think, since it was her room but she thought it was really cool.

What we've been doing

Over this break we have been getting the nursery ready for Sebastian's arrival in February. Here are a few pictures of the process. We had to remove the wallpaper border at the top of the wall (what a pain) before we could prime the walls. Then we painted the top half a light green and the bottom half light blue. We plan on putting up a wall paper border to separate the two colors today. It looks really good and goes well with the turtle bay bedding that we picked out a few months ago. Even though the line has been discontinued, I was able to get three rolls of the wall paper border, so if there is any left over I'm going to get creative with it. :)

Before Children, we made sure Rusty got into the holiday spirit. Now, we just let the old dog sleep. However, Sean came across this photo earlier in the week and I thought I would share. It was probably taken around the time of Shelby's first Christmas. That would make the year 2002. Obviously we got his good side. :)
