OK - I have to admit that I'm willing to make a mess to let my kids have fun. However, yesterday afternoon I let them decorate sugar cookies to kill time between nap and dinner. I've done this before with one child, so how hard can it be with two? Difficult was not the problem, the mess was! Shelby knocked over two different bowls of sprinkles and Sydney was trying to help by throwing sprinkles at her sister's cookies. We had colored sprinkles all over the place! Then Sydney decided that the icing on the cookies was really good (I made royal icing) and started licking the cookies before she decorated them. She had sprinkles all over her hands and 
face. Everyone had way too much sugar, but they had fun and the cookies didn't look half bad.
