The girls each got a special day this weekend. Sydney got to spend two nights with Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Tomie by herself. She was so excited when they came to get her Saturday night. She put her backpack on and was saying goodbye to everyone and pulling on Grandma's hand saying lets go! It was hard to convince her that we were going to eat dinner before she left. :)
Shelby got to go see The Lion King musical with mom and dad on Sunday afternoon. This was her first musical and she loved it. It was playing at the Music Hall and the State Fair is going on, so we had to park on the other side of the fairgrounds and walk a lot to get there, but it was worth it. Her favorite part was when Pumba said "She's going to eat me!" Shelby has seen the movie many times, but the excitement of having live on a stage was the best. Afterward we stopped and got a corn dog at the fair and saw Big Tex.
Today is my "special day". We have the day off from school and I'm getting a few things done around the house. My goal is to get some scrapbooking done during nap time - we'll see if that works. I've also got to put my grades in for report cards this week. Getting to sleep in until 7:30 was the best! Now only 39 more days until Thanksgiving Break.
