Zoo day

So I took the kids to the zoo yesterday. We had lots of fun and it wasn't too crowded while we were there. Animals sighted: monkeys, cheetah, baboons, meerkats, elephants, black rhinos, hippos, giraffes, white tigers, orange tigers, lions (male and female), zebras, birds, flamingos and everything at the snake house. Coming soon in April there will be penguins - my favorite animal to watch. (don't know why, they just are.) We also rode on the merry-go-round. Overall, a good time was had by all.
It has been raining today, so we've stayed in the house. I bought plastic Easter eggs and the girls and I have been decorating them today. I got my scrapbook paper scraps and punches for the girls to make shapes and I used my xyron machine to turn them into stickers. Shelby had no problem with it, but Syd kept tearing the stickers. It took us almost 2 hours to do 1.5 dozen so that was just fine with me. Nobody was whining, complaining or crying at all. Now they are in bed taking a rest while the rain keeps falling outside. I've got bread baking and a book to read. It's just a nice relaxing kind of day. Too bad it won't be sunny and 85 tomorrow - I like that weather too.
