My children are full of life. That's the best way to describe them most of the time. This afternoon was no different. We went to the store to pick up a few groceries and a new fairy book for Shelby and then we were going home. As soon as we stepped in the door, Sydney declares "I walk" and grabs her father's hand. Shelby is just excited about her new book and takes off for the book section with a constant stream of conversation trailing behind.
Book in cart, we head off for the school supplies - I'm still looking for Prang watercolors. Not seeing what we need, we head off to the grocery section. At this point, Sydney is still holding on to daddy and I'm pushing the cart. Suddenly, Sydney wants to hold my hand and Shelby's hand, so dad pushes the cart. Not a problem but they start singing (loudly) as we walk through the store. Then Sydney starts doing lots of tiny little steps instead of walking like a normal child, which Shelby finds funny so she joins in. The two of them continue this for a while until we get to the food and they both decide to play ring around the rosie with me (not my idea!) They are laughing / giggling / walking with little tiny steps and just being goofy in the busiest section of the store. Everyone else is either looking at them with that "too cute" face or looking at me with lots of pity. We finally paid for our things and got to the car after an hour in the store. Glad we didn't have more than 6 things on our list - we might still be there!
